1976 Olds 98 Regency in Oregon
Complete very solid car. Only thing missing is engine and trans. It has one crease in drivers side rear door, it is a 4 door regency. The interior is all there and the car has a good title. I am asking $700 OBO. If no interest will part it out. All glass is good even the windshield and the car has no rust anywhere I can see. I will post pics later today. The car is in Baker City, OR in eastern OR. The car is so complete I hate to part it out but I will if necessary. I am willing to ship parts but have never done that so there will be a learning curve on my end.

Hi Olds425, If you do decide to part the car, I would like the rear quarter soft extensions if they arent cracked up to badly. Also the front chrome grilles and headlight bezels. If the trunk lock cover is in good shape, add it in also. Thanks, Tom

Hi,
It does look like it's in pretty good shape so if you do decide to part it out, I'm interested in a few things as well:
1) Fender skirts...i only see one in the pictures, do you have the other side?
2) Front and Rear bumper impact strips. Is that "hitch" mounted through the rear impact strip? if so, I'll pass.
3) Dash parts (possibly the speedometer parts and left hand control panel...headlights, A/C controls)
If you could send some pics with a description of these parts that would be great. I'd also like to see under the hood to see what's still in there. How many miles are on the car?
thanks!
John

I had to remove one fender skirt to change a tire, I have it and it is nice also. I will take an underhood pic when I am done pulling the 455. I am not going to be using much off it in thatway so it should have anything you need. I am strongly leaning to parting it out. The rear hitch was mounted to the bumper I will look to see if it damaged anything. I hate to tear it apart it is so solid, but I wanted a running 455 and was only way I could get one.

If I don't hear from the guy that wants the whole car then I will part it out next week. I don't know about pricing stuff, so tell me what it is worth to you and you pay shipping. The fenders , hood and trunk are all about perfect.

I have pulled the quarter panel extensions and grille and headlight bezels. I am pulling the dash parts and the other fender skirt tomorrow. I PM'ed you both but am letting others know what is spoken for. Thanks.

Sorry I am not saving it. I can't afford another project and looked for a year for a running 455 around here. I would have sold the whole car befdore I parted it but no interest in that. I hate to see it go to scrap as the body is almost perfect. I would love to see some of the sheetmetal help someone else but it is probably getting scrapped soon. I hated to part it but the mice got into the wiring and would have cost alot to restore it. At least the engine is going into a Chevy if that helps.

Well, at least you gave us all "First Dibs" here. TOUGH when you're located where you are. (Just never know where you'll find an OLDS FAN! ) Do you have any of the fender skirts left still? How about a Passenger Side outside Mirror IF it's in good shape?? (I'm bypassing the PM route so others will know too...)
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hey Gang,
Would the windshield from this car WORK/FIT in any Ninety-Eight Sedan from '71 THRU '76?!~? (Is yours factory Tinted glass? NO chips at all? I know you said no cracks and good shape...) Shipping would be the killer I guess!

I believe the windshield is the same from '71 - '76 but best bet would be to check with an auto glass specialist. Keep in mind that the windshields in a sedan and coupe are different. I just got a quote of $255 (glass only, not installed) for a new windshield for my '76 coupe. I wouldn't trust shipping a piece of glass that big. I've also decided that new glass is better only because no matter how nice an original piece may be, it is still bound to have some pitting, etc. I put a "good" used windshield in my show car and have since regretted it. It's coming out very soon.
