Fyi

It is a Cutlass (not a 344 VIN # car & not a W machine) with lots of aftermarket parts to make it look like one.

It has been on eBay twice & never made it past $16K.

He took the car on trade & got hosed...he thought it was the real deal. Sad really but buyer beware.

Who ever "made" the 442 was ahead of his time with the non-black and white two tone interior. I believe GM did that in the 75 Buick LeSabre convertibles, among others, with the different colour dash and carpet and maybe door panels if my memory serves me correct. Very pretty car. However, to the uninformed you can sure get taken. Most people I believe who are going to spend that kind of money want numbers matching or at least the body being the real thing. Minor items that I note besides the colours, are the fact there is no lower woodgrain applique or dash bead moulding and it appears there is a Buick directional signal lever. The sport mirrors are off something else altogether, but whoever did the work certainly appears from the pictures to have done a beautiful restoration. Easy to see how the guy got taken.

I didn't know W-30's had to have the lower wood grain, and the chrome bead molding on the dash. I thought that was an option?

Those cam standard on 442s so it should be on a W30 as well

Can also see where the qtr skins were sectioned on the inside of the trunk...seems to be asking a lot for that kind of obvious repair....

Good eyes on the quarter. Glad you brought it up about the dice. What's up with people and their dice? Tacky tacky. If you like dice at least find a 50's car. Dice went out with brylcream and bobby socks. There, I feel better.
