so if you destroyed all the originality, and cloned it into a 442 with a hopped up 455, would that be a "muscle car"? this is the most ludacris thing ive heard. my 71 convertible with a mildly built 350 and my 71 vista with a mild 455 were both muscle cars in my eyes. i guess a '70 ss chevelle with its lowest horse small block is not a muscle car either. i know dealers claim cars to be all sorts of things they are not to sell them but give me a break!

I am not trying to stir the pot and I mean no disrespect to anyone, but are you buying this car? If not, what business is it of yours to come on another persons thread and preach a lesson on what is considered a muscle car to you or anyone else. It's his car, his ad, his words, his sell. let him sell it as he sees fit. If your not buying it why not just keep your thoughts on what you feel is a muscle car to yourself. Hes not hurting anyone, well except you it seems since you have obviously been offended by him calling his stock Supreme cutlass a "Muscle" car when you feel it isn't. Just retarded I come in to look to buy cars and have to read through silly *** propaganda that others spew about what is what, or what a car is worth or how someone refers to their car.

A muscle car was a 2-door, mid-size, American car (generally made between mid-sixties and early seventies, but the exact dates are subject to debate) with a larger-than-normal engine (traditionally one usually reserved for full-size cars, ie: 455 in a Cutlass that was normally produced with a 350), which had trim that identified it as a high-performance model, and was marketed as such through factory advertising.
A Cutlass with a standard engine was just a car.
As I said, it was a nice car, but really just like many others built in those years, and commonly bought by mid-level businessmen and housewives, not by youngsters looking for thrills - they bought 442s, GTOs, SSs, etc.
You may not be old enough to remember when these cars were completely normal family cars, but I sure am, and believe me, they were.
They can be Elvis's gold-plated Cadillac in your eyes, but that doesn't make it so. Cutlasses in those years were one of the highest-production car models of all time, and it wasn't because everyone who was driving one bought a muscle car.
