1970 Rallye 3K on ebay

Item # 323659111050. 3K OBO. Not mine. Plenty of rust but looks like some good parts for someone looking to build a 70 Rallye.

I would love to know if it is original paint and if the bumpers have been off. It has the capped bumper bolts. Some Rallye 350 cars had them but there is no proof of it by documents.

No title and 3 washes from completely going down the drain. Is it really worth $3k?

Honestly Eric I think there's some value to this car. $3000? Maybe. It has the complete OAI hood and underhood parts. That's big bucks. Frame is shot, but there are other rolling chassis out there to swap in. The mirrors are also worth serious coin and it does have period correct fenders. Even the grills look good and they're OEM. The block matches the VIN so IMHO this is a worthwhile restoration project. Title can be obtained from a local DMV,no? Lots of work for whoever bought it but if restored it will be a beautiful addition to the collector market of rallye 350's

From the ad:

=center1970 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS F85 "RALLYE 350"

RESTORATION PROJECT

Selling a numbers matching 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass F85 "Rallye 350" project for parts or project. Although this is a rare, one year only muscle car with only 1020 F85 units ever produced, it is not for the faint of heart. Will need an extensive restoration if you chose to tackle it. The trim tag with the - - paint code is still present as well as the vin tag in the dash. However the title was lost and I will be providing the winning bidder a "bill of sale." This car has been sitting for many years without glass in it and will need a total and complete restoration. Front and rear glass is missing. It is equipped with power steering, power drum brakes, automatic trans with shift on the column, and a bench seat. This car still has its numbers matching Olds 350 engine with #6 cylinder heads, automatic transmission, and 12 bolt BOP rear end. The original air cleaner and OAI parts for the W45 hood were found in the trunk along with a 650 double pumper Holley carb and aftermarket exhaust headers. The original intake has been swapped for an aftermarket aluminum intake. There are Mondello Performance decals on the car so I am only assuming that someone may have changed out the original cylinder heads for some done by Joe Mondello. There is a second set of cylinder heads in the trunk. The headers may also be from Mondello performance, but I cannot confirm it. The body and frame on this car have many rust issues. The frame is rotted on the front drivers side frame horn where the bumper mounts. There is also rot on the rear drivers side frame behind the rear wheel under the trunk pan. The body will need almost all of the panels replaced such as radiator support, front fenders, lower bulkheads on firewall, metal dash near defroster outlets, quarter panels, and inner and outer wheel houses, trunk pan, and full floor. The roof was damaged by a fallen tree and will need to be repaired or replaced. The front and rear windshield channels are also badly rotted. The original ram air W45 hood is rusted out underneath where the hood latch mounts. The fiberglass on top of the hood is good with the exception of a hole the size of a dime near the wiper cowl. The original date code correct 14 x 7 rally wheels are still on the car with polyester fiberglass tires from the 70s still mounted but do not hold air. However, the car does roll easy for loading. The car is missing inner fenders, radiator, gas tank, and some other small parts, but otherwise complete. This is definitely a full restoration candidate or an excellent source for hard to find one year only parts for your clone. Either way having another good 1970 Olds Cutlass S donor car would be ideal for this project. Please ask questions prior to bidding so you know what you are getting. Car does not have a title. A bill of sale will be provided to the winning bidder. Buy it now $3000 or best offer. Local pickup or shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

Eric, I saw all that and read it. Did you notice the seller also added the OBO in his ad? Could be less than 3 grand.

I've got an original paint (back half) Rallye and the bumpers have NOT been off, I believe. You told me about the grounding strap on the right rear bumper to taillight housing, it's there also. So what am I looking for?
