1970 Indy Pace Car convertible for sale $22,000 obo. Package deal with lots of NOS parts.
Third owner Pace car, complete with Protect-o-Plate. The original owner girl-friend was the queen of an event and was paraded around the track in an Indianapolis Pace car. The boyfriend searched the country for a Pace car and found it in New York, purchased it and proposed in it and was married as there only car for years. It was sold to the young man next door and I bought it from him. The car has not been driven in 30 years. Numbers matching motor, have not verified the trans but assume it is as well. Will try and verify for potential buyer. This car comes with NOS parts: quarters (8769149 & 8769148), door skins (9846519 & 9809742), Cutlass Fender script (230948), Front Bumper (209978), Hockey Sticks (230920 & 230921), Center Wheel caps (402926), Headlight plastic Bez (404748 & 404749), Supreme Grills (407306 & 407307), Supreme Taillight lenses (5764138).

I hope you find the right buyer. The right person will be out there. Cool car finished. I see a Rallye 350 and an early Corvette in the background. Selling those as well?

The rallye is actually my car, which isn’t for sale, I love my “ugly duckling” 😆 . And the corvette is a 62’ which isn’t for sale at the moment but who knows. I actually have it’s twin in my garage. Building its numbers matching 327 340 as we speak.
Technically, I believe this is a “Festival or Parade” car. It is a Model 4267 which was a Cutlass Supreme. It does denote “Y74” on the cowl tag, but the actual Pace Cars were Y74 Model 4467, which was a 4-4-2. Nice car nevertheless! GLWS.

Please correct me if I’m wrong…
There were only two 1970 442 Pace cars that were track prepared to pace the Indy 500. They are designated as cars #1 & #2. There were 118 more "track" cars that included Supremes and station wagons that were used for the actual Indy 500 press promotions. That list is widely available. This particular car is not a "track" car but is one of 358 Cutlass Supreme Y74 option package cars.
Im intetested. Please let me know
Thank You

I have tried numerous times and various ways to get in contact about purchasing this car. Nothing but crickets. So is this ad for real?
Came across another ad on Market place for 70 442 pace car in TN. Asked about getting it and the ad is still up but I get a reply that he is not really ready to sell and waiting for the price to go up from what he is asking. So WTF is up with these bogus ads? Either sell it or pull the ad. So if you have a 70 Pace car Cutlass or 442 hit me up.
Also looking for a specific 70 442 pace car with VIN 344670M292708 last time it was registered was in 1983 located in FLA . I am assuming at this point that specific car 292708 is a goner one way or another. Signed ...frustrated buyer with cash
Hey sorry about that! I’ve been MIA from ClassicOlds for a while, the car selling went on hiatus while other things were being hammered out. Just logged back in and saw your messages. I’ll be contacting you today. Again sorry about that.
