1970 Oldsmobile W31 4 speed
Here is a real W-31, 4 speed car. I am the 4th owner. It is documented back to the original owner. He was one of those guys who kept a note book for every time he filled it with gas or changed the oil. The car was well maintained not driven in winters. The log book, titles and previous owners support the 52,000 believed to be original miles.
The car is super solid with no major rust issues. Floors and Frame are really nice. The original flat ridge fenders were replaced when the car was repainted in the 1980s. (One complete repaint) The person I got the car from was a great care taker. He pulled the original engine disassembled it, cleaned it up with new rings, bearings and seals along with a valve job, so this W-31 retains all of its original select fit factory components. It sounds and runs fantastic. All body bushings were recently replaced and the car is nice and tight, unlike many restored examples.
This W-31 is all numbers matching original drivetrain. M21and 3.42 rear gear. All of the hard to find W-31 parts are present including carburetor and damper.
It has a console with bucket seats, sport wheel, AM radio and Ralley Pac gauges, The interior but for seat covers is mostly original and very nice. The wheels are 15” reproductions.
The overall paint job is weak and has lots of flaws. But it can be enjoyed as it is.
Color is Burnished Gold with Gold interior.
I’m only looking to sell outright. No trades, $53,500.00 obo or will perform a quality and correct repaint and detail for $80,000.00 to be completed for Spring of 2025. Call 630-377-1222 for more info or email NicKeyPerformance@aol.com

Thanks for the positive comments. The color combo has grown on me. I like it. Even the door buzzer and dome lights all work as do all exterior lights. Everything but the radio works and I have not looked into that yet. Just not a priority with this car as it sounds so Kool. I enlisted the help of another member here to inspect and drive the car for me. So if you need and independent Olds experienced opinion, I'm confident that he will share his findings.
Please note that in decades of selling cars, you will not find one dissatisfied individual.

Not to hijack the thread, I know a person who shows some very high end Mopars in Chitown. I'll bet that's what I'm thinking. What a show. He had 4 W-30 vert/4 speeds at one time as well.

That is Tommy L, he has owned 4 of the 1970 W-30 4 speed cars as well as a bunch of other special muscle cars. He often opens up his collection/ Man Cave for Pizza and Beer during the MCACN event.

At that point in time, one didn't drive those cars the way he does. You just didn't.

Holy Moly! I've had some horror stories with transport trucks in my day. Had two finish the last 30 miles to my shop in the middle of winter storms. Both cars were delivered covered in slush and ice an inch thick. Did they cut me a check? No. The transport started out enclosed both times. The truck broke down, both times. They finished the journey open. Fuuuudge. At least you don't have the option of finishing in a winter storm!
