The reason for cars getting different cards/papers is this:
They were being assembled during the same period, and if two cars had the same interior pieces, colors, etc.,the workers grabbed what would be correct, not needing to be concerned with any papers that might be attached. All of the papers were actually supposed to be thrown away, once the car was completed.
You will find that your W31 was built the same time as the date on the card for that Cutlass Supreme. If they both had black bucket interior, then they both needed the same carpet, and that is how that sheet got in there.

Exactly. And this was not at all unusual, especially with common color interiors. Some cars had even 3 cards in them, a mix of correct and incorrect ones. '64-'67 cars had a smaller version of a "broadcast card" (more like a tag) hog ringed to the underside of the seats. Again, not always the tag for the car it was in, same reasons.

I have a JO coded trans for a 1969/70 W-31 with the original factory high stall torque converter. Both warrantied to be correct, in excellent condition, and working perfectly. Will need to have a seal kit installed. Trans has 114,00 miles and was tore down at 110,000 miles and inspected. All wear parts were in spec and it just needed a GM seal kit. Torque converter was flushed and stall tested and also checked for slippage. Converter stalled at 2,700 rpm and only had 6% slippage. Trans fluid (used B & M trans fluid) and GM filter changed every 20,000 miles. Car had the M55 trans cooler option, so the trans was never abused. Have documentation to prove it is the real deal. In climate controlled storage since 1975. $2500 plus shipping/pallet costs to your zip.

When was the last time you saw one for sale!!!!!!!!
