Also, I like seeing prices to give an idea where the market is. I understand, to an extent, why Dennis Collins doesn't share numbers. If he buys a Shelby for $40,000 and sells it for $100,000, that's his business. But if he shared prices then you get people saying he shouldn't be making this much, yada, yada,Yada. I see it in all groups, from cars to vintage audio equipment to Schwinn bicycles. Everyone acts like it's taboo to say what they paid. Me? Idgaf. I'll happily tell anyone what I paid for anything. I have a Schwinn Fastback I paid $25 for at a garage sale. Doesn't mean I'm going to sell it for $30! Lol

Explains why he wanted the ad gone. I feel angry and betrayed. I really wanted and thought the car was going to a true Oldsmobile enthusiast that appreciated the car and the car's history. It's his now and can do as he pleases but that was dirty. Paid $19,000 and trying to flip it for $32. Amazing. I don't think I have the heart to tell my buddy, he would be crushed.😡

That sucks.. I have seen several of these quick flips over the past month. I missed out on one of them but it went to someone who finished it nicely before trying to sell it, so they probably broke about even

Probably reading this post. Oh well, water under the bridge, right? Just sucks when a car feels more like a family member than a mode of transportation and you want to see it passed on to someone who has the same love for the vehicle you do.

This world I swear. You tried to do your best to hand the car off to an actual Oldsmobile person and bam. You actually liked and cared about the car. Now they are trying to flip it for 13k more? 🤬 That dealer + Florida = heartless. No wonder the scumbag wanted this ad taken down.
People are just unbelievable anymore. That really sucks. Scum.

That's a 50% profit margin. You may want to post your selling price, the buyers first name, city, state, AND your vin number of the car. Also, post a copy of the title. Describe the car, the color and post photographs of the car. If you disclosed any known defects to the buyer, post those too.
Stay away from posting his last name, address, phone number, email address, and other personal information.
Rule #1: Be truthful.

Not sure how Rule # 1 applies here, to me, but the car was exactly as described and the buyer even had someone local inspect the car and approve of it.

The car sold for $19,000 and went to Florida, that's all I'm going to say. Apparently the guy had every intention of just flipping the car, as it landed in Florida on Monday and was apparently listed on Tuesday. He's a flipper who has to make a living, sometimes by playing people. And I got played. All I can do is hope he flips it to the person I thought it was going to and it will be well loved and taken care of for years to come.

An example of applying rule #1, being honest: Under no circumstances write that the engine has defects, knowing full well the engine is in excellent condition.

It's his money and his car at this point so he can do as he pleases. But, had I known I NEVER would have let my buddy sell him the car. Just don't freaking lie to me. I hate liars.
