1970 442 For Sale in North Florida
PRICE DROP $3500 or best reasonable offer
This is a true 1970 Oldsmobile 4-4-2, not a Cutlass clone. It has a freshly built 455 4-barrel engine with headers and flowmaster dual exhaust. Exhaust tip cutouts in rear bumper, correct trumpet tips, rear wing spoiler. Bucket seats, console, factory air, posi rear end, power windows. New tires on Oldsmobile Rallye wheels (14" snap-on caps). Factory Flame Orange car, was equipped with black vinyl top which has been removed.
*Front clip was removed as a unit, is now sitting back on the car but needs to be bolted on. One fender is an original '70 442 fender, the other is a 71-72 Cutlass fender.
*Non-original 455, appears to be a '72. Carb is a fully rebuilt '72 quadrajet.
*Non-original Turbo 400.
*Interior was removed to work on the floors, and the interior parts are now being stored in car. Shifter and console need to be hooked up.
*Front windshield is in good shape, needs to be reglued in place.
*Rear bumper is in pretty good shape, but is painted black.
*Dash is in good shape with no cracks, and original AM radio.
*Original 442 grilles in good condition.
*Original flat steel hood in good condition.
*Doors are very solid, outside door handles need to be installed.
I have a soft spot for the '70 models, and just bought this one. Being the newcomer, it is way down on my list of projects (cars are my hobby) so I am considering selling it so it doesn't sit around waiting for some love.
