70 Cutlass S
70 Cutlass S
I am looking to sell my 70 Cutlass S. Don’t want to, but need the money. It has the stock 350 in it. Was originally a 2 barrel but has been changed over to a 4 barrel. Current Quadrajet was professionally rebuilt about 6 months ago. Still have original intake and 2 barrel as well. Has a new aluminum radiator in it along with fresh water pump and thermostat. Has been converted to HEI. Runs great. To my knowledge it is the original driveline. Smokes a little at start up but clears right up. Also has a slight lifter tick on the right side, but only at idle and only every once in a while. Body is in good condition. Floor pans and trunk pans are all solid. I can’t tell but there might be a little filler in a couple panels, but I’m pretty sure they would be from accidents and not rust. Car came to me from Arizona. There is some rust in the sail panels. Can’t really see it under the vinyl but you can feel it. Interior is in decent shape. I consider it better than daily driver condition. She’s a great car. Have 2 new tires on the front end. Crager SS's are on it. Also will come with a set of Rally II's that are in excellent condition but the tires on them aren’t the best. I also installed a sport steering wheel that is in great shape. I’m looking to get $5500 out of her. Hope someone is interested. Thanks.

Glue? The stock mirror should be bolted to the roof, not attached to the glass.
It actually looks like the post is still there. It wouldn't be all that hard to replace it. The mirrors are out there and you (or whom ever buys the car) might even be able to find one with a map light to replace the broken one.
I'd love to have that car to complement my 442 so I could have a more sensible daily driver that I would enjoy driving. My truck is nice an all, but even though it's a V6 the damn thing just drinks gas.
I had a 72 Supreme years ago that I got over 20 mpg with.
Good luck with it. It looks to be a good starting point for a really nice car.

Yes, she doesnt have the right mirror. Someone has put the one on the windshield. It is an excellent start for a restoration or to use as a daily driver or a good driver while it waits for restoration as its been doing with me. I do little things here and there to make it a better driver while I was waiting to be able to restore it.
