No. He is not. See where it says NO QUESTIONS ASKED. That is wrong because I told home three days ago that this is a Cutlass & detailed for him why it can't be a W-30 or even a 442. He is still fishing.

Without a doubt, he's fishing. I know his tactics. He's a professional used car salesman after all that thinks every Olds he's had is a lottery ticket true 442 w-30.
I'm swinging by in about half an hour to check out the car for myself. I'm sure anyone interested in the car has noticed it does not have the rally pac as well as lower boxed control arms.
My offer still stands to check out the car personally for anyone interested.

It's a 70 Cutlass,built in Linden,NJ. Someone made a try at cloning a W30,but came up a lot short.
It seems that he is fishing for uneducated buyer, preferably someone young, with money, but lacking knowledge of facts.
It reminds me of when I bought my 72 Supreme. The previous owner had put 442 emblems on it,stripes, and a 425 in it.Other than that, still looked like a CS.When it didn't sell,he traded it to a dealer, two blocks from my work.I went there to buy it,and they tried the same thing."It appears to be a 442." "No,it's not." There's a possibility that it's a Hurst car." "No it's not." I then preceded to lay out all the facts and info about 72 442's & H/O's,including some handy literature.I ended up buying the car for $2800.00,which was well worth it for this car,in 1996.
This is one reason why the 'S' bodystyle cars bring more demand than the CS bodystyle. You can make as many 442 & W30 clones as you want.
Someday,a bone stock, unmolested Cutlass, will be worth big money because nobody fucked with it. Just a thought.

Brian nailed it. He's going for the uneducated person with more money than knowledge of these cars. So true to form.
336 vin, aftermarket flgass hood. E heads, headers, 3 core radiator support on a 4 core radiator... Car is very nice, but not worth any where near the asking price of $27k imo.

He would be better off educating himself because he missed the big one, he says "now if i find out that it is a real 442 and a real w30 then the car is worth 75 grand , if it is a real 442 then it is worth 35 grand , if it is a cutlass big block in this condition then it is about a 25 grand car in my opinion" What about W31 without orig drivetrain. That may be south of 25 grand. Reg Cutlass... 25K no way... if it were me, leave the stripes , Change the fender emblems to w31 script and replace the grilles. It even has a reg cutlass rear bumper on it. W31 tribute non air car ? Who knows maybe , just maybe it is a real w31 restored back in the day as w30

I Stand corrected it can't be a w31 either because built in Linden NJ

emailed him 3 days ago and said politely you might to change your ad.
I informed him of the vin and Linden build, he emailed me back yesterday to say ty but never checked to see if changes were made to his initial ad. I am guessing no.
Must admit I do like the Berejik emblem though

The seller knows exactly what he has and is purposely clouding the issue with the text in the ad. There's no reserve, so he'll sell it to someone who IS uninformed. Sorry, but, if you spend that much money without doing your homework first, you deserve to be taken.
