1969 W31 convertible

I have a 1969 W31 convertible for sale.
Not original engine. I do have the original intake and so on, just not the engine.
Only 26 built.
I am in Canada, near Detroit and have owned it for 30+ years.
i have the Canadian GM document from Vintage Vehicle that shows the W31 option.
I drive the car daily in the summer. Its not in bad shape but far from perfect.
This car should be restored properly and I am not the guy to do it.
Open to offers starting at $30 k USD

You're going to need to post the asking/selling price for this vehicle per forum rules.

Yikes, how old are those rear tires?

Cool car, interesting paint job. Definitely worth saving, especially if its for real. Any back story on what happened to the original engine?

Short story on the engine. Previous owner didnt know the car was a W31, he switched engines to get a smoother running engine.
He also did the paint job and the interior. Maybe it made sense in 1980

I think the last time Goodyear made the Eagle ST was at least thirty years ago.

Good! Maybe he can help you track down the original engine.

It absolutely made sense in 1980.

Rowdy engines and convertibles essentially contradict each other.

I didn't even know these were real, incredible car. Best of luck with sale.

NHRA stock rules required production cars. I believe the benchmark was more than 500. Because it was available in the Cutlass and all body styles ("post", hardtop, and convertible) it was legal.

I talked with the previous owner, sort of incredible that 34 years later he still had the same phone number.
Very cool to talk with him, he was excited to talk about the car, it obviously meant something to him.
Regarding the engine, not much luck, he had a lot of work done to clean up car, the engine was just part of the job. His main goal was to get it ready to be used for his wedding day. I told him, I have found lots of confetti.
He also said the car was raced at the local drag strip, I might follow up on that.
The paint was copied from the Indy pace car, I think 1972.
I sent him some pictures, he was really pleased that the car is still in use.
But no help with the engine 😕

Bummer. Good to get a little history, though.
