The colors on this car are stunning. Never thought I would like a red gut but the whole package on this thing works.

It's probably not for the purist but still a nice 442. The installation of the top is the only flaw that jumped out.

Some of the 1969 dealer brochures had a silver 69 with red interior that I always thought was stunning. This is close.

They had to put the stripes on the trunk like a Chevelle.

Didn't notice the stripes on the trunk at first and now I can't unsee it! Fortunately it's an easy repaint.

The pinch welds are all visible except the on the passenger side quarter panel and to my eye it's all mud.

Get out my bed! 😂

Don't get me wrong, love the car and I think it's beautiful, but trunk stripes add zero to the look of the car.

Besides those horrid trunk stripes, the fender emblems are way too spaced out. Look fairly straight, but there's a canyon in between the numbers. Why do people never seem to research this? They want to build everything to W-30 specs or get the correct code for whatever, but the devil's in the details. I can even accept slightly misaligned fender numerals if they're close enough together.

The number spacing and placement are way too much for me to handle. I don't understand why this is so hard. It's worse than the "Stevie Wonder" W-30 stripes we constantly see on '70-'72's.... Think of the paint and body work this car is going to need just to make it right.

Ow, I didn't see that angle. Yuck. I didn't just puke in my mouth a little, I got some on the floor. The car looks fairly nice otherwise. That plus the bondo areas showing up.

There's an interesting comment that, it appears, only one person picked up on.

rb1066 This author's likes: 709My father bought this car for his 2nd wife’s birthday in March of 1969. Purchased from Paul Brothers Oldsmobile in Washington, DC. It was a real 442 and came with factory A/C. The car was given to me around 1984; being in the wholesale automobile business since 1973, I immediately sold it; just another piece of iron. When my father dropped it off, it was the first time I got to drive it; stepmother and I didn’t get along, although I did get to ride in it a few times. I still have the owners pouch, the warranty papers and the Protect-O-Plate:

The guy commenting has the PoP for THIS car!

Unfortunately, unlike 68, the PoP doesn't tell you a whole lot
