1969 Cutlass S Convertible Red, Red buckets, white top. Complete car 1 owner.

Just picked this up today. One owner car, complete unmolested, all parts there. Red, with red buckets & console, no AC, drum brakes, posi rear.
Hood is junk, floors seem to be real solid, trunk floor has a little rot but not bad at all, trunk lid is solid, quarters & fenders need work, all glass good, all trim there & in good condition, clean title, last ran in '96ish? Was running, backfired through muffler & blew a bunch of smoke & parked after that.
$2500.00 & pick up in Indianapolis.
Scott

I bet that was a looker in its day. I just commented to my wife how restorable this car is. I can see it now done up as one of the "Smothers Brothers" race cars. Good luck with the sale, Scott.

Dave,
I was thinking how rare anymore it is to find a totally complete, pretty much totally unmolested car of any type from the '60s. The rust is not terrible all the hard to find parts are here. Hope it sells soon so I don't have to keep it.

Speaking of those wheels, I also have the spare in good condition along with the jack.

It is still for sale. I grabbed the belts to see if I could turn it over & to my surprise it moved pretty easily. Also inspected the trunk lid better & it might have a little pitting on the bottom surface but no rust holes anywhere on it. Front & rear floor boards look to be very solid also.

Installed a battery & it turned over slowly & the starter sounded ugly. Installed a new starter & a few whiffs of starting fluid & of course it fired right up & idled smoothly. There is a slight ticking from the driver side valve cover. It needs a fuel hose to the pump as it is dripping a bit & I'm sure a thorough tune up & inspection is in order.
We may be delivering it to Chicago tomorrow.

Sold!
Just delivered this to the south side of Chicago today. It went to a loving home & I'm sure the guy will do it right. We installed a new starter as the old one was definitely bad & he asked me to go back to the parts store to get the original. I did & he has it along with the rest of the car.
As we were unloading the car he asked where the top of windshield trim was. Apparently it took a flying lesson somewhere along I-65. I told them they sell ropros for about $80.00 & told him I might have a slightly beat up one & he wants the original damaged one vs. the repro. My kind of guy.

Hi Scott,
I was the guy that bought that red 69 Cutlass, paid a bit more for it than your posted $2500, but you did deliver to Chicago. Started cleaning her up, shop-vac and pressure wash the mud n muck, and a nice bubble bath too. looking for a hood and core support and...... Was worried about the vin at first, but my bad, it was hard to read but is correct, all good now. Hoping you can come thru with that top windshield molding that flew the coupe in route to the windy city. You are a man of your word, car delivered as seen in the photos.
Thanks,
Paul
