I did follow up on this car.
The owner informed me that they do have lots of factory documentation. However, the car is on its 3rd block which was rebuilt in 1976 using all original parts.
The numbers do NOT match on this vehicle.
Thanks for the heads up Dave.
Happy holidays,
Sam

When you say the numbers don't match up?
Is there more than the original block missing?

I didn't go any further in askng about other drivetrain components after he told me that the block had been replaced a few times.
He said he was in the midst of a home reno and was real busy. He wanted to communicate by email and would not forward is phone number to discuss the vehicle any further.

Fyi
1969 442 production and W-30 production
Sports Coupe (171 of these were W30s) 2,475
Hardtop Coupe (1097 W30s) 19,587
Convertible (121 W30s) 4,296
1 of 171 post coupes made with the W-30 option.
I know that 91 of the 121 convertibles were manual trans cars.
Does anyone know the stats for manual vs automatic on the post coupes?
