IIRC, a selection of rear gears was optional at no cost, wasn't it? Don't know if the list of freebies included gears as high as 4.11 but if it did, maybe documentation on the final sales draft was considered unnecessary ...? I've seen a number of these forms in GM VVS paperwork and don't recall axle ratios being specified unless there was a charge involved.
Anyway, sorry, not a discussion thread as we will no doubt soon be reminded.

The 4.11 rear axle was a W30 option only from the factory. You could not order it in any A Body unless it was a W30.
