Whats funny about the ads is that the 6 different photos are split between the 2 different ads. Then there are 2 different extremely vague descriptions and the titles with same words only scrambled. I'd bet there are other ads out there if one would take the time to look.

Answer to my email
If you do not mind emailing my sister elinorsieben7@gmail.com bc she's the owner, I was only helping her to sell it. Thx

Hello and thank you for your email. I'm Elinor, glad to see you are interested in my 1966 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442. The body is in very good original condition.
The title is clear and has my name printed as owner. The engine is in outstanding mechanical condition, This car is simply provides the driver with nothing but pure enjoyment behind the wheel. This car does not burn or leak a drop of oil. Here you have the VIN # 338176Z125011.
The price is $11,800 I know the price is way under market's value, I have tried to sell it at a higher price but we are in a bit of a rush since my husband got a new job and signed a contract for 2 years in Edmonton, Canada. He is already there and we will leave in a week. We don't have the conditions to keep it there and we need the money in this period of transition so I am trying to sell this as soon as possible. If you have any questions or need any info or photos please ask.
This car is free on any liens, I have a clean title in hand and it is ready for a new home. The panels, floors, and trunk were in very good condition, and also retaining original paint.
I changed the exterior color to royal mist which is a color offered that year.
The blue interior is the original color. This was and is a very straight car.
The drive train runs great and strong.

Hello,
I am glad to see you have a high interest in my car. As I told you in my first email, we will leave in a week to Edmonton, Canada, where my husband got a new job. Because of the short time that I have left and so many things to deal with concerning our departure I have signed a contract with eBay to take care of the selling on my behalf. The car is already at the shipping company in Sioux City, IA sealed and ready for the shipping.
The deal includes free delivery and it will arrive at your address in 7-9 days, depending on the exact location. You will have 5 days to try out prior to making any purchase and if by any reason you find something you don't like about it you can send it back at my expense.
If you are interested in knowing more info about how it works, I can ask eBay to send you an email with more information on how to purchase it. eBay will contact you shortly after they have the details with all the confirmation that you need to complete this deal and you will also have proof that I am covered by them and a legitimate seller. If you would like to receive the email from eBay with all the transaction information please reply with your full name, shipping address and phone # and they will contact you right away.
Thank you

Eddie, I didn't get enough, but it was about 3 times that amount. I still have those same pictures on my computer. Only the license plates are not blocked out. I am from Minnesota and the car went to Pennsylvania. The car came from California and I did a total frame off restoration on a car that still had it's original paint. Duane

Just copy and paste the vin# they provided and you'll see the sales history and price this car sold for prior. It was 60-70 grand. The call/email you were going to get from ebay was not going to be ebay. They don't call/contact anyone regarding a sale unless you reported fraud or didn't receive something. It was only a matter of time before they asked you for a deposit of some sort......"if it sounds to good to be true".....

EBay sells cars on CList? Who knew.
For a scammer, at least they got the year and some details right. I do find that scammers put weird numbers in their ads. Asking price $11,810.
Engine and transmission have about 1607 miles.

The scammers will even try the reverse of this, to get you to ship product. You can tell they use bots for that as well, because I have been contacted and asked to ship stuff less than $100 that didn't have much of a market.
"Sorry, in person and cash only" usually ends the conversation.

I had a non-running VW Baja Beetle listed for sale and got an inquiry on it from someone who seemed to be in New Jersey (I'm on the west coast in BC). Of course he asks me to confirm that it's in good running condition (ad was very clear that it wasn't) and what my best price on it was. I replied that it was immaculate as per the ad, and my bottom line was $100,000. Of course then he asks for banking details so he can transfer the money to me and arrange shipping through his supplier, blah blah blah.
I guess people fall for their lines enough to make it worth their while to keep doing it. Sad.
