1964 F-85 Cutlass Convertible
BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC CAR!!!
This car has the original 330 hp, 10.5 to 1 compression high performance engine with the 2 speed Jetaway transmission. Both have been professionally rebuilt and have approx 3K miles on them.
The car is about 90% restored.
It has new brakes and cylinders, new shocks (air on back), 5 new tires, new dual exhaust.
The air conditioning works great.
The car comes with an extra AC compressor, original engine intake and air cleaner, and the original maintenance manuals.
Smooth ride, but have to sell due to summer move.
Asking $12K but will consider all reasonable offers. Car is located in Panama City FL (has been a NW FL car its whole life)

Have you listed the car for sale anywhere besides here? While this is certainly a good place to list it, the number of people on this site is small compared to the number who would see it if you listed it on craigslist and/or ebay. Putting it on ebay will cost you money, but craigslist is free. There are other sites to list it on as well.
At an original asking price of $12,000, your price might have been a bit high. The Old Cars Price Guide puts the value of one of these in #2 condition, which is showroom condition, at $12,600. Your car looks nice, but is it showroom new? In every respect? The presence of that dashpad suggests cracking underneath, which suggests it's not in showroom condition.
In #3 condition, the average value is shown as $8,100. #3 condition is described as "car show quality." Your car is probably more than this but less than #2, so a price of what you're now asking, around $10K, is probably more reasonable.
But like I say, you have to advertise this far and wide. I'd love to buy it myself as my father purchased a '64 Cutlass convertible new when I was 7 years old, and I have pretty good memories of riding around in it. But I don't have $10K right now.

appreciate the advice. I have listed it on Craigs list, lots of tire kickers, but no action. Local paper and put out on the busy corner--still just a lot of empty offers. Will keep trying until I get it sold--thanks.
The market for something like this is tiny, but strong, in the sense that someone out there will pay the price you want. You just have to find that person and at the time they're willing to buy.
Too bad you couldn't get the car to Sturbridge for the OCA show. That would certainly get it in front of a lot of Olds buffs all at one time.

If you want to move it quick in this market $7000-7500.00 will be the number. You don't have a whole lot of people interested in a 64 like you do a 70-72 or even 68-69 body style. Add that to a soft market and you and going to have to wait for just the right buyer or drop the price.

Any one can give a car away like that. Someone out there will find the value of that car in thier heart just as I did mine, and buy it.Hold on, no need to give it away.
By the way she is beautiful
Too many critics out there.
