1964 442 Convertible (not mine)

Found on Houston CL, definitely a project car, with a good possibility of being legit. If only I had a bigger garage... I Hope this is someone’s dream car. Good luck.

Well, it's at least not yellow with an automatic...

That may not be a 330 - the oil fill tube and valve covers at least are 1968-newer. The water pump is a correct 1964 version with driver side inlet.

Someone buy it as I know where a 330 442 motor is with stick flywheel. There you go. The air cleaner is worth $1000.

If you look closely, one of the pics shows the deck lid 442 emblem on the car as well. Like I said, if I had the garage space.... Just wanted to see this one come back from the dead, looks like a black on white color combo to boot. Authenticated, this is a killer project at a good price.

The frame needs to be checked for rot and then this would be a total restoration project. Imo its not worth near that price if cannot be documented as legit. Even so there are many things either missing or not correct. The wheel well moldings are VERY hard to find. The shifter handle also doesn't appear to be the correct one.

1964 442 Convertible is sold, also there was another Cutlass in the background. She got $8000.00 for both, I’m day late, she has 1965 Ford Mustang in background also but not for sale.

What does a Ninety Eight convertible have to do with the sale price of a 442 convert?
