Factory Correct "Keep your GM Car" Decal placement

Dear All,

I have noticed a large variance in the placement of air cleaner decals. I am concerned about the one that says "keep your GM car all GM"

I hope people dont mind me using their pictures as examples.

For instance, W-30 dreamin' has the sticker placed at around 5 O'clock. (See below)

Whereas Sandy has her show-car placed right at 6:00. (see below)

Which is correct? If you have an all-Original 72 Cutlass, Please clean up this confusion!

Five o clock would be correct. My original was there, maybe more at 5:30 or so...
Below is what's left of the original...

I moved it to about 4:30 since the cruise servo would be in the way for 5.

Make sure the hot air pipe is connected so that the air cleaner housing is positioned right, first.

Do you have a picture of your engine bay handy?

I just dont want to have to peel the sticker off, buy a new one, install again.. I'd like to do it right the first shot.

The assy manual shows the placement.

5:00 is TYPICAL. But as pointed out, back in the late 60s, early 70s, whoever was putting on the decals probably wasn't always accurate.
