Wiper Arm Parts/Internals

I took the wiper arms off my ‘70 W-30 to polish them. The Tension Springs are pretty crusty - they are original to the car. Is there someone that sells replacement Tension Springs ? Any other hardware in there that I should replace while I have the wiper arms off my car ? Thanks !

I've seen the spring break and I've seen the anchor break. I don't know if they can be bought separately, but there are reproductions of the arm assembly available.
Take out the transmission and clean/lube the joints. Most of them aren't adjustable but you can gauge if they're too worn.

Inline Tube shows the wiper arm springs as an item. I have no idea how you would install them...likely pretty stiff and being small and tucked up inside the arm the "access" is limited.

Don't over-polish them....they were a "dullish" or satin finish originally.

EDIT/ADD: I just grabbed an original D side arm.....the spring on that side is partially covered by a formed metal "shield" and the shield is riveted onto the arm. The head of the rivet is visible when the arm is installed and you'll likely never find another rivet that looks like the original (the rivet is stainless steel as well I think). That "shield" can be pulled up slightly but my bet is the shield would have to be removed to access the whole spring for removal/replacement.

Grabbed the P side as well and it also has the "shield" over the spring.

Double checked these loose arms against the originals on my '70 W30 (still on the car)....the wiper arms on that car also have the spring "shields" (I don't know EXACTLY what year car these loose arms came from).

ALSO....sent you a PM BigMikey.
