Vinyl Care

Hi All,
I want to know what you are using for vinyl top care. Mine is about new and I want to make sure it lasts.
Thanks,
BQ

I think vinyl is a type of hydrocarbon and probably should just be cleaned with mild soap and water, when you apply a presevative protector etc I wonder if that actually harms the material making it even more brittle over time. I know its tempting to apply wonder cleanes etc... but I always remember reading '' just use water'' or something like that. Now if you have a stain thats a different story

I use soap and water, with an occasional coat of dressing. Mine was installed new in 1997, still looks great.

I've used bill hirsch convertible top cleaner and protector ( 2 products) before. Seems to work good and it's a product made for that. I can't comment on longevity as I don't have that car anymore
