Grille color

Hi, I'm a new guy here and have a question. I just bought a 1971 Cutlass Supreme. I was hoping someone could tell me what black is used in the grille's. Is it flat, gloss or semi gloss. Hope this is the right section to ask this question.
Thanks Ron

I'm guessing semi-gloss/satin black for the 71 442 grills. Regular Supreme grills are normal silver/gray.

Previous post is correct. Factory color is all silver which matches up to Krylon Dill Aluminum pretty well. If you want black pick one you like. A semi-gloss should look nice.

I have attached a picture of what I'm talking about. If you look at the grille the small lines seem to be black. I have several grilles and they appear to be the same.

The small lines are satin black.

I would use either a semi-gloss or a satin black. Krylon carries both. Just put a pair of NOS grilles in my 1970 Supreme and either of those should give a good match. Not glossy and not dull
