car cover

Anyone have a good car cover they use/have used they could recommend? Car will be outside this winter and I'd like some decent protection.

Thank you sir. Just checked them out and they look good. Did you get the extra high-wind straps or did you find the cable under the middle was sufficient?
I appreciate your input.

Big Sky Car covers. Good assortment but pricey. They are easy people to work with and buy from. I bought one for storing my car inside. My cover is 4 layers thick and perfect protection for the paint. I'm 100% satisfied though.

Never get a budge brand for outside, unless you need it for only 1 year, as the UV rays turn it into paper towel strength in year 2.
If no choice, buy the cheaper one, as the lifespans are about the same.

Thanks folks. I'll probably go with the Noah cover; reasonable price and I like the fleece liner.

I agree with the idea of getting a quality cover. Besides it's easier to justify spending $200 on a car cover when my alternative is a storage garage at $160+ per month.

Wow, 160+ per month....is that what the going rate is to store a car...heated?
I have always been fortunate to have indoor storage....if I use a cover it is the cheepy ones..The last one I bought was from NAPA ,a cheepy called BUDGElite..used to keep dust off, if I use them at all

Nope, not climate controlled. Just a 10x10 space to keep your junk out of the elements.

My Cutlass is kept covered outside. I paid $178 for a waterproof 5 layer cover from Buyautocovers.com. It keeps the rain out, but every time I remove the cover, there is a fine layer of dust, also the birds peck through the hood ornament area and steal the fleece in the fall. Anyone have either of these problems? I guess mine is a Noah

That fleece lined cover sounds like the 1 I'm looking at. I can do the fine layer of dust but the animal aspect does worry me. Anyone else have birds/mice/squirrels attacking your covers for nesting material?

I have used a soft cotton cover in addition to a large plastic tarp covering the whole car and draped like a tent at the ends. BUT, the plastic doesn't breath so the car must be uncovered periodically and after each major rain storm to air out any moisture. My car is usually in a garage so I don't store long term outside. I did store through a winter with no problems. A cold winter is actually not harmful to a car. The air is very dry. Long term, inside is the only way to go in New England.
