69 Missing trim options.

69 Missing trim options.
My car is missing the stainless trim that runs from headlight to taillight on a convertible.
Someone had started stripping the car for paint and the pieces didn't move on with the car.
Anyhow, these things seem to be as rare as hen's teeth.

Does anyone make a suitable alternative that won't cost you and arm and leg??
What are the other options if I can't find any?
Weld/fill up all the slots and go without?
Cover the holes with some aftermarket "stick-on" trim until a suitable part shows up?
I'm open to opinions or other options.
I'd really like to get this thing on the road this summer and don't really want the slots running all the way down the side on new paint!

When I bought my 69 conv it was missing all moldings. The holes were filled in and had pinstripping in its place, looked decent. Im doing a resto now and managed to find all missing pieces. There are some shops that sell them but I didnt want to pay that much either. I searched Ebay, 442.com, and craigslist for a couple of months til I found all pieces. Paid about $700 for the all the peaks and wheel well moldings, the most expensie being the peaks on the conv quarter. Good luck
