fuel tank selector valve failure

fuel tank selector valve failure
Hi everyone,
Recently notced that my engine started to misperform. I mean, everything is fine with the engine, no misfiring or something. Yet, I noticed the power loss. After checking the codes, I discovered the fuel tank selector valve failure. I have already checked what kind of valve I need (for my 1994 Bravarda it is a 6-port valve, listed as FV-5 type).
Anyways, before I take my Bravarda apart and start searching for what is wrong with it, wanted to ask you folks here, if anyone did the replacement of this valve? If so, was it hard? Because after reading the instructions online, I was under impression that I'll cope with it, just wanted to ask someone who was in the same situation...

Okay, here is an update. I have already found an aftermarket valve online, so decided to give it a try and ordered one (https://www.carid.com/fuel-tank-selector-valves/)... Already printed out an instruction for myself, so once the valve is delivered will get it fixed...

i have a 94 bravada and had the tank out recently and didn't see any valve like that. That looks like a valve for something with two gas tanks.the most common thing for loss of power on those old 4.3s is the fuel pressure regulator.i would check fuel pressure first.

What is the initial problem? You mentioned that there wasn't a misfire or poor performance. If there is a code indicating your fuel tank selector valve isn't functioning properly then what are the symptoms?
Before replacing the fuel tank selector valve check for 12V at the valve when you actuate the switch on the dash. If you have 12V and the valve doesn't actuate then you know the valve is bad.
