Replated booster

Got my rebuilt and replated booster and MC cover back from Steve at Brakeboosters today. Thought about a repop, but I'm glad I spent the extra time and money. This guy does nice work! Plus it's the one she came with!

looks great, I'm sure the re-pop wouldn't look that good.

Yep, Steve did mine as well. Great job. Looks like new AND it fit correctly!
Also, the repops are easily identified by the stamping edges.
Price is similar and you keep more of your car's history.
Plus, reuse is better than recycling...

As posted on their site http://www.brakeboosters.com/
155 plus whatever shipping it takes for you to get it there. He also did the MC cover and bail.

Stripping, cleaning and plating job was supurb. It also fit and works perfectly - a little history retained on the car. Keeping Americans busy, too!!

most of the repops are crap. studs with bad threads, soft metals that bend and studs that snap off. some are not bad but now days you never know what you are going to get. well worth the cost to redo an original.

Well, for some it is. My Booster and Master cylinder had to be replaced this year. The cost of shipping to the US for rebuilding and back was over 100.00 so I bought them new from Crane Corvette past summer when they had a sale on. The booster is stamped like an OEM, the master cylinder doesn`t have the bleed valves but it still hooked up perfectly (bench bled really easy - less than 2 minutes) and hasn`t failed. BTW, the cost of rebuilding both of them up here was over 300.00 at EBL. Sometimes you have to decide how much you really want to spend on OEM vs repop.
