Factory drum hubs?? Where to source??
Factory drum hubs?? Where to source??
Looking for factory drum hubs, and where i can score them.
I tried googling it but came up short.
Anyone know any good reputation but inexpensive sources???
Buying used make a big difference??
Trying to see if anyone has a size comparison photo of disc vs drum hubs.
Found a 13" C5 disc conversion kit that uses drum hubs......just looking into it.

First, let me say I'm not a hub expert so I'm not able to answer that clearly.
I've got OEM factory disc brakes.
I was considering a bigger brake kit that can use the Disc spindles but needs drum hubs to work.
I'm trying to figure out what I need and where to get it.
Here's the brake kit I'm talking about.

i haven't found anywhere that has remanufactured drum brake hubs. i wanted/had to get new ones for a frame we were putting back together a couple weeks ago..... no luck. you'll have to get used ones from a bone yard, or from someone that did a drum to disc swap and hung on to the old stuff.
and a little tip. if you'd get used hubs and need to replace the wheel studs, grind the heads off the backside and knock them out the front. ask me how i know, and why i was looking for new hubs.

The drums are pegged to the hub wheel studs. You are supposed to cut away the metal before you drive the stud out. I have removed many studs by hammering them out the back side. Only difference is that I used the tool to cut the stud loose first.
