Distribution block rebuild or replace?

1970 442 restoration in progress and I am curious about opinions wether to have original dist. block rebuilt or go with a new brass replacement that is available? These are the brakes so safety is an issue obviously. I want everything to work and fit as it should but don't want to risk being able to stop car or waste money. Quote on rebuild is about same as new reproduction. Any experiences, opinions on the subject appreciated. Here is pic of OEM pc:

I was going to rebuild mine, but a new one is cheap insurance. And much less work

Thats kinda what I was thinking. My concern is if the reproduction pc doesn't fit or function like the OEM then it becomes wasted time and money. I have yet to hear of any experiences with the reproduction valves so maybe no news is good news?
The new ones being brass seem to be a bit more durable than the OEM also. I assume the OEM were cast and rusted pretty quickly?

I would rebuild, they have lasted some 50 odd years.
I have had all other brake components rebuilt with the exception of the proportioning valve.
