Depending on what your machine shop charges, and what componets you purchase for the engine... and if you do the assembly yourself after the machine work is done I'd give you a range of $1500 to $2500. That's kind of broad but the shop rate, what your block needs, and the kind of parts you use can make a big difference. If you don't have a machine shop picked out you might post the question in a new thread. I believe there's several members here that live in B.C. or down in Seattle if your not too far North into B.C. John

John is right on. I spent 2500 putting 455 back to stock, parts and labor. That was block assembled and head work.

I had mine done last fall here in calgary at one of the best shops..Precise...Cost me 4000. Nothing fancy...just wanted a high torque, bullet proof street engine that will last a long long time...blueprinted..and they assembled up to the intake. Things are a little more expensive North of the border and good shops are getting harder to find.

Because of the dollar exchange rate I would put the cost at around 4K as well. It goes up from there depending on what your goals are for HP and torque. 6k to 8k is not unheard of

Keep in mind that there is a difference in labor costs if you do the assembly or have the shop do the assembly.
