Power booster pushrod

I may have to change my 11 in. power disc brake booster to a dual diaphragm 8 in. booster to fit the 455 into the 64 Vista. Will the pushrod from the brake pedal I have now still work with the 8 in. booster? Thanks. Ron

Should, but check adjustment. They usually screw in or out.

May have to egg shape the mounting holes a bit on the master cylinder, if the mount studs on the booster are a little off from the master cylinder mount hole spacing. Wont hurt a thing.

Why? The identical 1965-67 cars came with BBO and power brakes from the factory. The 64-66 cars used 9" boosters that fit the BBO without notched valve covers. The 67 cars used the same 11" booster as the 68-72 cars and did use a notched cover on the driver's side.

If you have tall aftermarket valve covers, all bets are off. In that case, I'd go with a hydroboost.
