I'm sure I'm beating a dead horse here, but I just came across a front disc brake conversion that uses the stock spindles from Baer. With how the front end is designed with the rear steer tie rods etc, could this be a way of getting away from drums? I'm currently converting my 65 starfire into drag car and the drums will work but not preferred. But for a conversion kit that is made to use the stock spindles, shouldn't it work?

I don't understand what the rear steer has to do with the conversion. The 67-70 full size cars were available with disks from the factory. Unfortunately, no one sells replacement rotors for those cars.

I also don't understand why drums don't work for a drag car. Often drag racers prefer drum brakes because you can back the adjusters off to minimize drag during the run. There was even a little-known manual drum brake option for the 1970 W-30 cars for exactly this purpose.
