Who made brakes on 1956 98? conversion?

Bendix Treadle-Vac or Delco Moraine? How reliable is it? Anyone done a dual master cylinder or disc brake conversion? Any kits for them out there?

I believe there are members on our site that have done similar disc brake conversions. Here is a website you might check out:

thanks - his kits look well researched and designed. I haven't had delivery of my '56 from AZ yet, but it appears 54-56 were Bendix power brakes, is that right? I may want to keep the original drum brakes but convert the MC from single to dual for safety, anyone done this or old threads on it?

I have done it on a 57 Olds and hialeah56 on the site did it on his 56. I used the scarebird kit and I think he did as well. PM him for more details. Check out the vintage forum for his thread
