Got my rear drums to be turned. On the chance they call and say they are too thin to turn....

Are all the GM a-body cars interchangeable? These are not 'finned', they just round and have larger rings running around them (for lack of a better term).

Or should I just pick up a set of 'aftermarket' drums and be done with it.

Car is a 67 442, but has a 71 Olds rear end, so I'm not concerned at this point on super originality on things like this. Just need good quality, no headaches.

They interchange if the brakes are the same size. Vista Cruisers were wider, for example. A nice weight savings (about 5 lb. each) can come from using the aluminum drums from late 70s to 80s Cutlasses etc.

 

The S-10 pickups also use the same 9.5 x 2" drums with the same 4.75" bolt circle.
