Was having trouble getting a completely solid pedal feel on my '77 cutlass even after multiple bleedings and replacing the wheel cylinders which appeared to be leaking. Everything is new from the master cylinder to each wheel. Took another shot at bleeding the system and noticed that the master cylinder seems to move a little when braking forcefully. Could this be the cause of some very, very slight brake pedal sponginess? I was having trouble determining if the movement was originating at the firewall or at the connection between the master cylinder and vacuum booster. Anyone else ever notice movement like this?

 

They all do that, at least every one I've seen.
