Help ID 4-piston brakes for 67-68 Okds
Sorting 66-67 Oldsmobilie parts collection continues.
Found a couple sets of 4 piston brake sets and parts.
it appears the caliper part numbers are 67-68, but there are different spindles. Some part numbers I can read, others are paint covered.
Is there a 4-piston part number list for a-body vs. big car (i.e. 98 or Delmont) spindles ?
Thanks

According to GM parts wiki ;
GMPartsWiki - 408604
The slash shields marked 5463565 & 6 are for 69-72 Cutlass and 73 -74 X body
The adapter brackets marked 5470660 & 61 are also 69-72 cutlass and 73-74 X body.
I could find nothing on the steering arms marked 394568-9.
The steering arms marked 408604 & 5 are for 71 & 72 Cutlass
I could find nothing on the calipers either.

The full size cars used rotors that were 1.25" thick, the A/F/X-body cars used rotors that were 1" thick. The calipers for full size are wider as a result. The casting numbers on the calipers are not part numbers and won't show up in the parts book, unfortunately.

Thanks Joe for the info !
For the few miles I put on my 68, I'm ok with keeping drums up front. And my 2 other 68 4-speeds are drum too.
Not sure there are many purists looking for specific casting numbers or not.
If I make it to homecoming, I might just try and sell all brake pieces as one lot.

I just took a look at the calipers they were not buried. These were for 1967 full size with disc brakes. The one I was able to get to had casting number 5456008. So I don't think yours are full size or at least don't have the same casting number.
Also in the space between the two cast halfs (where the pads slip in) in the center from inner to outer of the cast sections it measures 2 9/16" wide.
