Unhappy Fr.Disc brake conversion

Hey guys I have a 71 cutlass and I bought a conversion kit on ebay,Spindels, backing plates, and caliper brackets.I already had a reman.set of calipers. After tearing down and installing one side I find out the calipers i got are to small. They are 5 1/2" between caliper pins and the new brackets have 7" between caliper pins.It appears i have to get larger calipers single piston, Anybody know what veh these would come off,or what i have to do to remedy this situation. Thanks for any help,Tom

Sounds like you have the 1978-up metric calipers. You remedy the situation by returning them and buying the correct 1969-1977 calipers.
