I want to put a dual master cylinder on my 1966 Cutlass convertible. Does anyone know what the easiest match of cylinder and proportioning valves would be right off hand?

 

The 1967 Cutlass used a dual master cylinder. I'd just replace what you have with 1967 parts.

First, cars with four wheel drum brakes do not use a proportioning valve. Second, as noted, just use the 1967 parts. The dual circuit M/C requires a shorter pushrod from the booster to the M/C, so you can't simply bolt one to your current booster. Inline Tube sells the shorter pushrod, but you have to disassemble the booster to install it. The easiest thing is to just get a 1967-72 booster and a 67 M/C. For drum brakes, you'll need a distribution block, which is NOT a proportioning valve.

 

If manual brakes, use the inline tube INL12439 derby hat shaped retainer so the pushrod can't fall out of the master cylinder.
