Disc brake conversion

I recently purchased a 71 Cutlass Supreme with drums at all four corners, want to convert just the front, Knowing that you'll have prob done this a few times LOL . Part numbers from parts stores to build my own kit or just purchase the kit available from Summit. Thanks in advance.

Look around you can better prices what kit are you looking into ?
I chose the "right stuff detailing " brand over all looks to be a good kit well reviewed

I chose to buy my kit off a eBay vender buts it's the right stuff detailing kit they, buy in bulk so they sell it cheaper than going to the right stuff. I guess the down fall might be warranty anything, but I have not installed yet it's my winter project

I spent 644 to my door with the slotted rotors and braided lines and powder coated caliper
I only thing I need is make new hard lines or buy prebent ones

Good luck on your quest

If you get right stuff kit off ebay MAKE SURE it is for your Oldsmobile! The Standard vanilla kit did not fit worth a darn! I ended up getting new lines by talking with Todd in tech support. The routings of the other ones were too close to the exhaust.

I talked with them as well before buying they only said prebent lines were a issue not the brake kit it self

Is this where you were having issues ? With the brake kit or prebent lines I didn't buy the lines only the brake kit

Issues with the pre-bent Stainless lines. Once I got the ones for a 72 cutlass from them, they fit with a little bit of tweaking. A couple of us ended up working with Todd to get our lines sorted out. Going from Drum to Disc with existing steel lines, I think you may need to tweak a bit to get them to fit the proportioning valve (unless you put a manual valve in your system and go the distribution block route)

Stats 5, are you in Florida by chance? I have the old front disc setup from my 72 that I replaced when I went to disc all around. If you are close I could make you a REALLY GOOD deal on some used parts.... Discs, calipers, Dust guards, proportioning valve, master cylinder, etc.... (I was about to toss them out, sick of tripping over them!) They are heavy, so you would NOT want to ship!
