Disc brake conversion 69 a body G body

Did anyone ever try to use G body spindles etc? They look like they would work, I pulled a set off a 87 didn't try them yet.

NO, NO, NO!!! GM used a different ball joint taper on the A/G body cars starting in 1973. The later spindles will physically bolt up, but the tapered stud on the ball joint will not seat properly in the spindle, leading to eventual failure. This is NOT SAFE.

Your choices are to either use a factory style 64-72 brake kit or to use adapter ball joints. These are the ball joints used for the B-body spindle swap. The 73-up upper ball joints bolt right to the earlier A-arms, but the later lower ball joints need to have the housing machined to fit in the older lower control arms.
