They likely still have a kit w/ non power brakes if you want to save a few bucks, but for the $$, you cannot beat these kits that come with everything.
71 I don`t know how they brake I just finished assembly on my frame
as far as ease...... 1/2 hour each side and done direct bolt on
if you have stock exhaust you can keep the prop valve on the frame if not they offer the mounting point up at the master cylinder kit as well which I ended up getting
if you click on my build link in my sig you can see how the system looks on the frame
Good luck

If you're spending the money, bigger brakes = faster stopping.
You have much bigger rims on that car......
Plus you're competing with much more modern braking systems on the road in a 3800lb vehicle.
If you want to spend a wee bit more
The C5 Z51 front 40.5mm piston and 13" rotor front brake upgrade is much better.
OR......this kit which has 60% more stopping power (52mm) over even the C5 setup

Obviously not a COMPLETE kit like above.

I put the factory 14s back on but the recommended wheel size for that conversion kit is of course 15.
I downloaded the manual for the kit. It states that you can use a 14 inch rim if the rim was on a car that originally had disc brakes.
Is there a difference in olds rallys? i know some cutlass's came with disc brake in the front.
On the other hand, ALL Super Stock II/III wheels in all factory-offered sizes clear FACTORY disk brakes on A-body cars. No guarantee that they will clear aftermarket kits, especially if these kits use calipers that are different from stock. Many of these kits use the later metric calipers with the 2 5/16" pistons. Stock calipers for the A-body cars through 1977 used 2 3/4" pistons.
i just orderd these... in the process of puttin in now really easy on the bank too and come pre assebled too
so ill take some pics tomarrow of what i got still in box and post
only thing took a couple of weeks to get put together and shipped

A few years ago I put the DBK 6904 from http://www.inlinetube.com/ they fit with the stock 14" SSII wheels and the distribution block fits in the original location on the frame even with headers stops great even though some of the parts are overseas, kit was complete , This is a Factory appearing kit and even has the Hold off valve that mounts near the Master cylinder for the front Discs

i just bought a Right Stuff front conversion kit...11" drilled/slotted rotors, 9" power booster, master cylinder, hardware, spindles, powdercoated calipers, & a complete brake line kit...all for $825 delivered to my door.
I'm sorry, but I don't understand the attraction. The stock A-body disks are 10.75" diameter, use calipers with larger pistons (for more braking force), and were factory available with 14" wheels. You can modify your stock drum spindles by simply machining down the boss for the upper bolt, turning them into "disk" spindles. The repro caliper brackets and splash shields are available everywhere, and the rotors, calipers, and hoses are available from any parts store. You get a factory-engineered braking system for less money.
For me, it was worth it, the braking improved dramatically it seemed like with drum brakes always had to give myself extra space between cars when driving . Living in the inner City Chicago with traffic when I did the conversion feels like I am driving a more modern car especially in the braking department ...
