On 4 wheel drums, does the front do most of the braking or is it equal all around

 

On any car most of the braking is done with the fronts. This is why on four wheel drum cars the front brake shoes are larger than the rears and the front wheel cylinders typically have a larger bore than the rears. Any front engine car has a front weight bias (typically 60% or so on the front wheels and the rest on the back, and coupled with the forward weight transfer when you hit the brakes, most of the load goes through the front tires. Think about that the next time you want to put 4" wide frontrunner tires on your ProStreet car.
