Brakes install

Is there a right and left side to front disc brakes on a 1970 442 W-30 ?? can the calipers be put on upside down ?? should the brake line hose enter the caliper from the top side or the bottom side ?? Think i saw somewhere the line should enter the top side of the caliper.
