Brake Caliper question?

Looking at modifying my Spindles on my '68 442 from Drum Brakes to Disc Brakes. I bought the Caliper Brackets but not exactly sure how they mount up to my Spindles. Can anyone please send my a picture if they have one available. I have search the internet and can't find a good picture or diagram. My email is jwilson@ismgj.net. Would greatly appreciate it.

You need to have the drum spindles machined to fit. Here are some photos (first gen Camaros use the same spindles as the 64-72 A-body cars):

Thanks Joe,
Luckily I work at a machine shop and I milled down the Boss .580. Looks great so far. Now just need to make sure I put everything on correctly. Anyone have a picture of the Caliper Bracket mounted our know where I can find a parts diagram?

The holes in the bracket should be different sizes so it only goes on one way. Caliper should be towards the rear.

That is what I figured. Thanks for the help. Any particular bolts I should use in mounting them. I was just going to use washers and grade-8 Bolts.

Smile Take a break

Are you using four piston calipers or single piston?? The splash guards are different and are readily available

Grade 8 bolts should do the trick. You might want to use some Lock-Tite and a lock washer.

I am probably going with the single piston calipers for cost effectiveness. Buying an entire kit is a little expensive all in one shot so I am buying parts and pieces here and there. You guys know where to find a parts breakdown of how this all goes together? Sure I can figure it out. Not rocket science as of yet!

And duelly noted on the lock-tite and washer. Thanks
