4 Wheel Disk Brake Conversion

Can anyone give me an up or down on the following conversion kit offered on Ebay? Has anyone used this dealer before and if so, any problems? Price seems good but they stipulate that I would need 15" or larger wheels. That would bump the price up another $600 or more. I do have eight 14x6 SSI wheels along with the complete front and rear drum setup that I can sell to offset the costs .

Jay, I run the e-bay store for JH Restorations. We offer a front brake conversion kit for $530.00 with free shipping in the US. I will check a price for 4-wheel for you. I did the front brake conversion kit on my car this spring. It is a good kit, and great quality. The problem with the wheels is that the older 14" rims were not disc brake rims, and there was not enough clearance between the rim and caliper. I am running later model rims off of a 80's Cutlass, so they do clear. I will send you a pm with a price for the 4wheel disc brake to see if we can do it lower than the other guy.

thanks, Cutlassjoe

4 Wheel Disk Brake Conversion

Cutlassjoe,

I understand the issue with the early SSI wheels. I would like to stay with SSIs but finding good used wheels in a 14x7 is tough. I am leaning towards Cragar SS 15x7 or 15x8 (rears). I have always like the look of the Cragar SS wheels and the wife wants "new" rims. When can you get back to me via PM with a price for a 4 wheel disk conversion?

For the front conversion I know we can go $520.00 with free shipping in the continental US. If you give us the year, make, model of your car we can also price all the brake and fuel lines through In Line Tube. We can get either stainless or oem. I used the oem for both the fuel and brake lines, and everything matched up perfect. Once we get the prices on the 4 wheel I will post those as well. It will vary a bit based on year make and model.

Okay. Here we go. We can match the price for the 4 wheel disc conversion kit. $830.00 for the kit with free shipping in the US. You will most likely need to replace the brake lines as well. We can get a price on those as well.

We can also do a front disc conversion kit for $530.00 free shipping in the US.

Please send me the year, make, model of the car, and what you need. I will get the prices, and pm them to whoever is interested.

Thanks!

Joe
