Hello I Own a 1966 olds 442, originally my car has 4 drums, I install new front disc and also im installing a dual diaphragm booster with a dual master cylinder.

Im also installing the Distribution block, the question I had is do I have to have 2 rear lines for rear brakes?? one for each wheel?? do I spleet the lines just after the distribution block???

or Can I take only one line to the rear of the car and then split the lines just in the top of the rear Axel??

There is only one line back to the rear axle and a single rubber hose from the frame to the axle housing. The hose should have a fitting with two ports for attachment of the two metal lines that go to each of the two rear wheels.

 

No no no no use straws and connect them all the way to the back!!!!!! TRUST ME IT WORKS!!!!!

 

What are straws?? are tubes? do I install 2 different lines for rear wheels just after the distribution block?

Huh? Let's try this again. The FACTORY design uses separate lines from the proportioning/distribution block to each front wheel and a separate SINGLE line to the rear axle. There is a SINGLE flex hose that runs from the frame above the center section of the rear axle to the top of the axle. This hose terminates in a fitting that has two ports, one for each rear wheel. The hard lines run from this fitting to the individual wheel cylinders and are held with clips that are spot welded to the axle tubes.

 

I Just made the installation like factory do, I will try and see how it works

the only thing I do is I change the diameter tube to 3/16
