Does anyone know where I can buy replacement parts for a 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire emergency brake system? In particular, am looking for the lever that attatches to the frame under the front seat (approximately), that the front and rear cables attatch to. Thanks!!!

 

Good used will be your only option. That part should be the same on any Olds full size from 62. Not sure about applicability from other years. As an example, I do know that on the F-85, the e-brake mechanism changed from 1961 to 1962, even though the body stayed the same.

 

Thanks for the quick reply Joe - I have been keeping an eye out on e-bay, and have seen a large selection of cables (not to mention a milliion car covers) but no luck so far - was at Hershey last year, but did not know I needed the lever at that point. I guess the other million to one long shot would be if someone has fabricated one on their own?
