i have a 1965 olds cutlass and it needs the rear bumper straightened and rechrome does anyone have any shops in mind that could do it

 

Helps to know where you are and kinda what the budget is.

If you're on the East Coast, my go-to has always been Tri-City Plating in Elizabethton TN. They can do street chrome, show chrome or high-end show chrome.

Be warned that no chrome work is inexpensive any more thanx to ever-more-stringent environmental regs.

 

X2 for Tri City. You're not going to find any decent chrome shops in the DC-Baltimore metro area. I usually drop mine off with Tri City at Fall Carlisle and pick them up from them at Spring Carlisle to avoid shipping costs. Depending on how bad the bumper is and how much work is required to make it straight, expect to pay $650-$800 each.

You might get lucky. Sometimes they have one done and on the shelf. Then it's a matter of you give them a core and they knock off a core charge.

 

Depending on how things go by spring, definitely call them before Carlisle. Tri City wasn't at last Fall Carlisle, but then a lot of vendors didn't show.
