If you have the space, hang em on the wall or in the garage trusses. Leaving them on the floor usually someone steps on them or they get dented by someone using it for a temporary table. Don't think they'll go out of shape. You can store them on the floor if you want, but I'd put them up a little on a piece of cardboard or wood so they arent in direct contact with the concrete or any moisture that might puddle under them. Whatever you do, don't put them outside just covered with a tarp. You could end up with rodents using them for nesting.

FYI, I'm using my basement to store some of the larger options and glass that I am planning to put into my car a little later. Takes up some space, but it's really climate controlled in the house + I have an undertanding Mrs. who lets me get away with it. (for now anyway)

I have extra fenders stood on end, the end closest to the door on the ground leaned up against the back side of my garage. The warning about this is if you still have the short piece of chrome trim on the top rear of the fender this can break them off. Yes I found out the hard way! John

Since most of us down south are not blessed with basements, I use the attic!
Fenders are light and I have a set up there now for my old ford, should I ever decide to go that far with it. I need to try to get a hood up there, too.
Of course if you have a good paint job on them, you would want to wrap 'em well in paper before handling to protect the finish.

Smile Missle protection

I can't get into my attic because there are 12 inches of insulation to protect the occupants from white meteorite attack and freezing to death after the sun goes down...

Rob, being single and all I would have thought you would hang yours in the living room and call it wall art

I would be more than willing to store them on my 71 cutlass. Wouldn't even charge you any rent.
