Rusty A-Pillars 1970 Toronado
hey guys,
found some rust on the a-pillars (see pictures). what would you do?
replace with these babies??

Unfortunately, until you grind off all the paint and bondo on your posts, it's hard to tell how bad they are. The insides don't look that bad - some media blasting will clean them right up. The current rust on the outside is worrisome, but again, until you get them down to bare metal, it's hard to tell if you need complete replacement pillars (a big deal to install) or just local patch panels, which will be a lot less work.

here are some more photos...
my guess is, that it rusted through the windshield frame and water is leaking inside the a-pillar
as you can see the former owner was'nt even able to remove the weatherstrips before the paintjob -.-
